BALTIMORE, MD—The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics on Friday released state jobs and unemployment data. According to the preliminary survey data, Maryland’s total jobs decreased by 11,100 and the unemployment rate increased to 1.7% in October. BALTIMORE, MD—The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released state jobs and unemployment data on Friday. According to the preliminary survey data, Maryland gained 11,200 jobs in September, the largest job growth since July 2022. The unemployment rate decreased to 1.6%.
