NOTTINGHAM, MD—Councilman David Marks on Wednesday announced that, as previously announced here, Baltimore County’s 29 volunteer fire companies will receive $1 million in grants as a result of the 2021 American Rescue Plan. Middle River Volunteer Fire & Rescue member killed in crash

MIDDLE RIVER—A local firefighter has died in an automobile accident. Middle River Volunteer Fire & Rescue reports that member Marcus Paxton was killed in a Friday morning crash. Paxton was a firefighter and EMT with MRVFR. He had been with the Middle River squad since 2013. No additional details have been released at this time.
