Harford County police searching for stabbing suspect

ABINGDON, MD—The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a stabbing suspect.

At just before 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, deputies responded to a residence in the 400-block of Deerhill Circle in Abingdon for the report of a domestic related stabbing. Authorities believe the suspect was known to the victims and the incident was isolated to the home.

Victims were transported for treatment of injuries that do not appear to be life threatening. Deputies will continue to be in the area as they work to investigate.

The suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Raja Zahid Maqsood. Maqsood has access to a black Hyundai, but it is unknown if he is traveling in the vehicle or on foot.

Residents are asked to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to 9-1-1.
