Detectives seeking tips in Harford County cold case

EDGEWOOD, MD—Detectives with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office are looking for information to help  them solve a cold case from 1988.

The victim, Patricia Burns was living in the North Point Village in Dundalk, Maryland at the time of her death.

At approximately 6 p.m. on Wednesday July 6, 1988, Patricia Burns, who was 25 years old at the time, was found dead in the water along Winters Run Road in Edgewood. Authorities pulled her body from the water and found that she had been stabbed to death.

Detectives are continuing the investigation into this crime, however there are currently no suspects in Patricia’s murder. Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
