Gunpowder Valley Conservancy to celebrate Earth Day with Middle River stream cleanup

MIDDLE RIVER, MD—The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy is preparing to celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up the community.

GVC will host a park and stream cleanup in  Middle River from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025.  Volunteer will meet at 760 Maple Crest Drive (21220) and the event will  be held rain or shine.

Participants should note that sturdy, close-toed shoes and long pants are mandatory. Volunteers should also bring a pair of grabber tongs if available, sun protection and/or rain gear as appropriate, and a water bottle.

This event is part of Gunpowder Valley Conservancy’s Explore the Gunpowder Watershed Challenge. The Challenge is free and self-paced between April 22 – June 3, 2025.
