NOTTINGHAM, MD—At its legislative meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025 the Baltimore County Council approved a contract to purchase property that is critical for the Mohrs Lane Bridge connection.
The purchase of 9929 Philadelphia Road (21237) for $246,100 represents a key milestone for the project, which has been delayed for years.
Baltimore County expects utility relocation design approval in September, federal aid approval in February 2026, and construction advertisement in November 2026.
Councilman David Marks has supported the construction of this road as a way to reduce congestion elsewhere on Philadelphia Road, especially at Cowenton Avenue.
“When completed, the Mohrs Lane Bridge connection will provide another link between Pulaski Highway and Philadelphia Road, hopefully improving mobility throughout this area,” Councilman Marks said.
