BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for the Baltimore area.

The warning will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

Sub-freezing temperatures are expected overnight with lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s.

Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation, and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

Residents should take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
