JOPPA, MD—Crews responded to Joppatowne High School on Thursday afternoon to investigate reports of a natural gas odor.
Units from Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company were able to determine that the source of the odor was a science classroom where gas appliances were being used for science projects.
Crews verified there were no hazards prior to clearing the scene.
No injuries were reported.
