Jaws of Life used as I-95 crash leaves two injured in Joppa

JOPPA, MD—Crew remain on the scene of a serious, Monday evening crash on Interstate 95 in the Joppa area.

The crash was reported at just after 6 p.m. on March 31, 2025 along southbound I-95 just past the Mountain Road/MD-152 exit.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free one trapped occupant, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

Two people were transported with injuries and several southbound lanes remain closed.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
