Baltimore County fentanyl, cocaine trafficker sentenced to 11 years in prison

BALTIMORE, MD—A Baltimore County woman has been sentenced to over 11 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possessing fentanyl and cocaine with the intent to distribute, officials say.

Querida Moran, 53, of Owings Mills, was sentenced to 135 months’ imprisonment in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons for Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl on Friday, March 28, 2025. Moran was under federal supervised release at her arrest.

Moran was identified by the Drug Enforcement Administration as a source of supply for numerous drug traffickers in the Baltimore region in 2023, according to her guilty plea.

Throughout the investigation, agents observed Moran conducting numerous drug transactions.

On July 26, 2023, Moran drove her SUV to a restaurant parking lot in Arundel Mills where she conducted a drug deal, according to the DEA. Agents followed the vehicle that received the drugs and recovered 100 grams of fentanyl from the driver during a traffic stop.

A week later, on August 1, 2023, agents were monitoring a GPS tracking device on Moran’s SUV when she drove to a travel plaza and parked near an area where tractor-trailers park, they noted.

From there, Moran drove directly to a storage center where she was seen transporting two large duffle bags and a cardboard box to her storage unit, according to the DEA.

The next day, Moran left the storage unit with a black suitcase, agents observed. After leaving the storage unit, Moran conducted multiple drug transactions, they noted.

Search warrants were obtained for Moran’s storage unit and residence, according to the DEA.

On August 3, 2023, agents searched Moran’s storage unit and found 50 kilograms of cocaine and 2 kilograms of fentanyl.

Moran was arrested at a separate location later that day, according to the DEA. When she was arrested, agents searched Moran’s purse and recovered two additional kilograms of cocaine.

A forensic analysis of the drugs confirmed that two kilograms of fentanyl and 50 kilograms of cocaine were in Moran’s storage unit, and two kilograms of cocaine were in her purse, they noted.

On the same day, agents searched Moran’s residence in Owings Mills and seized approximately $56,000 in cash that was determined to be proceeds from her drug trafficking activity, according to the DEA.
