Fire Weather Watch issued for Wednesday in Baltimore area

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Wednesday in the Baltimore area.

The watch will be in effect from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on March 26, 2025 due to strong winds and low relative humidity.

Winds will be from the northwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts of around 25 to 35 mph.  Relative humidity will be at around 15 to 30 percent.

Forecasters say the combination of dry conditions, low humidity, and strong gusty winds may result in favorable conditions for the rapid spread of fires.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions may occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
