CATONSVILLE, MD—The suspect who shot and injured a police officer in Baltimore County last week has been charged.
Homicide detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have charged 27-year-old Andrew Britt in connection to the shooting that occurred on March 13, 2025, at the Wilkens Precinct, which resulted in a Baltimore County police officer being injured.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on March 13, 2025, an armed subject approached an officer in the 900-block of Walker Avenue in the parking lot of the Wilkens Precinct and began to fire upon him. The officer was struck in the torso and officers returned fire, striking the suspect.
The injured officer was subsequently transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma. He was released from the hospital on Sunday, March 16th.
Britt faces multiple charges, including two counts of attempted first-degree murder. He remains held without bond.
