NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred overnight in the Nottingham area.

The shooting was reported overnight in the 4300-block of Bedrock Circle (21236) in the Southfield neighborhood.

One person reportedly sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died of their injuries.  This was a targeted incident, according to Councilman David Marks.

The investigation is ongoing at this hour.  Witnesses are asked to contact police at 410-887-5000.
