Fire Weather Watch issued for Saturday in Baltimore area

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Saturday in the Baltimore area.

The watch will be in effect from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on March 1, 2025.

Forecasters say combination of dry conditions, low humidity, and strong gusty winds may result in favorable conditions for the rapid spread of fires.

Winds will be from the northwest at 20 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 45 mph. Humidity levels will be as low as 19 percent.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions may occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
