FALLSTON, MD—A shed fire in the Fallston area led to a brush fire on Tuesday afternoon.
During the afternoon hours of February 25, 2025, units from Fallston Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Company and Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 2500-block of Thames Court for a shed fire that subsequently extended into the tree line.
Fire personnel placed the fire under control in about 10 minutes and were on the scene for 45 minutes doing clean-up.
The initial cause of the incident is believed to be improperly discarded fireplace ashes from the homeowner, which were spread into the woodline at the location.
