DPWT announces water main replacement projects in Loch Raven, Parkville, Overlea

NOTTINGHAM, MD—The Baltimore County Department of Public Works & Transportation is set to begin construction on two water main replacements in the county’s Sixth District. Water main replacements are necessary to ensure that the local water distribution system delivers high quality water to homes and businesses, and to prevent future water main breaks.

In the areas of Hillendale Park and Loch Raven Heights, 27,300 feet of water main will be replaced over the next 3 years. In the areas of Fullerton and Overlea, 21,300 feet of water main will be replaced over the next 2.5 years.

Crews will be working in small sections at a time, and in those sections, there will be limited parking and some lane closures and flagging operations during work hours (7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday). When the new water main is installed and ready to connect into the system, brief water outages will occur overnight and with ample notice to the affected properties.

For more information contact Baltimore County Division of Construction Contract Administration at 410-887-3531 or [email protected].

Additional details on the locations affected can be found in the DPWT graphic below.
