Two rescued after becoming stuck in ice at Loch Raven Reservoir

GLEN ARM, MD—Two people were rescued from icy waters at Loch Raven Reservoir on Sunday afternoon.

At around 2:30 p.m. on February 23, 2025, units from Providence Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of Loch Raven Drive and Morgan Mill Road (21057) following a report of two people trapped in the ice.



The two individuals were freed from the icy waters and transported by Maryland State Police Aviation Command.

There has no update on their condition. Some roads remain closed in the area.
