BALTIMORE, MD—Could it become the snowstorm that wasn’t? Over the weekend most of the weather models showed central Maryland getting hit with a significant snowstorm this week, but now forecasters say the system will stay to the south and hit northern Virginia.
The National Weather Service still says that the Baltimore area could see a dusting of snow on Wednesday and into Thursday. The track of the storm is not set in stone and things could still change, but the chances of a blizzard hitting the Baltimore area now seem slim.
Light snow will likely develop on Wednesday afternoon and snow showers till persist throughout the day on Thursday, with a dusting of snow likely throughout the Baltimore Metro region.
Lows will be in the teens on Tuesday night and right around 20 degrees on Wednesday, with highs in the low 30s Wednesday and Thursday.
