Forecasters monitoring potential significant Mid-Atlantic winter storm next week

BALTIMORE, MD—Forecasters are closely monitoring a potential major winter storm that could impact the Mid-Atlantic states next week.

The National Weather Service says a coastal storm may develop and impact Maryland next Wednesday, February 19 and Thursday, February 20, 2025.

The storm has the potential to become a “high impact” blizzard.  There is currently a 60% chance of seeing at least six inches of snow in the Baltimore area.

Forecasters point out, however, that the storm is still several days out and it is too soon to be certain of its exact track.

Residents should stay tuned to local forecasts over the next few days.
