Winter Storm Watch issued for Tuesday in Baltimore area, up to 6 inches expected

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Baltimore area.

The watch will be in effect from 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 until 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12th.

Forecasters say heavy snow is possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches are likely, with locally higher amounts possible.



Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

Precipitation will begin as light snow on Tuesday afternoon. A steady snow will follow Tuesday evening into Tuesday night, and the snow could be heavy at times. Additional wintry precipitation could continue into Wednesday morning.
