Vehicle crashes into house in Perry Hall, gas leak prompts evacuations

UPDATE 3: Police say portions of Honeygo Boulevard and Cowenton Avenue have been shut down near the crash scene.

UPDATE 2: Officials say gas has been shut off.

UPDATE: Approximately fifty residents have been evacuated. BGE crews are working to secure the gas line that ruptured. MDOT buses have been requested for residents who need to evacuate.

PERRY HALL, MD—Emergency crews are on the scene of a vehicle that has crashed into a house in Perry Hall on Monday evening.



At 7:30 p.m. on February 3, 2025, the Baltimore County Fire Department reported that a vehicle had crashed into a home in the 5000-block of Cameo Terrace (21128).

Authorities say a portion of the home’s deck may have collapsed as a result of the crash and a gas leak has prompted the evacuation of nearby homes.

Structural engineers are responding. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Motorists should avoid the area.
