ROSEDALE, MD—An annual fundraiser organized by a Baltimore County police officer and his wife will take place in Rosedale this September.

The fourth annual Amy Caprio Classic weightlifting competition will be held on September 20, 2025 at Exile Fitness.

The annual event is organized by Baltimore County Police Department Officer Joshua Phipps and his wife Brianne, and the fundraiser is held in honor of hero, Officer Amy Caprio, who was killed in the line of duty in 2018.

Funds raised benefit BARCS Animal Shelter, a cause that was dear to Officer Caprio’s heart. The event has raised $37,500 over the past 3 years.
