Councilman Marks nominates Bill Murray to Recreation Board

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Thursday evening announced the appointment of Perry Hall resident Bill Murray to the Department of Recreation and Parks Board.

“I am thrilled to accept the opportunity to serve on the Baltimore County Board of Recreation and Parks,” Murray said. “My family and I have long cherished the recreational sports offered here in Baltimore County, and I am eager to contribute to creating equally enriching experiences for other families through our recreational programs.”

Bill Murray is a longtime volunteer with the Perry Hall Recreation Council, currently serving as the Youth Volleyball Director.

“I am delighted to support Mr. Murray for this position,” said Councilman Marks. “He will be a terrific advocate for our recreation and parks councils and brings practical experience running one of our most successful local programs.”

Since 2010, Councilman Marks has supported advancing six new parks in Perry Hall, as well as a new park in each of the Carney, Middle River, and White Marsh communities.
