PARKVILLE, MD—Check your Powerball tickets for Wednesday night’s drawing if you made a purchase in Baltimore County. A winning $50,000 ticket was sold in the Parkville area.
The lucky player bought the third-tier winning ticket at J Convenience, located at 8765 Satyr Hill Road. The winning numbers in the January 8 drawing were 1, 20, 36, 38 and 43; the Powerball was 24 and the Power Play multiplier was x2.
This is the first $50,000 Powerball winner of 2025; a $100,000 third-tier win took place in the January 1 drawing. The Parkville player is one of 10,261 Maryland players to win a Powerball prize on Wednesday night. The other prizes won by Marylanders ranged from $4 to $100.
Since there was no jackpot winner, the Saturday, January 11 jackpot is set at an estimated annuity value of $263 million and an estimated cash option of $117.7 million.
Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
