Man critically injured in Rosedale house fire

ROSEDALE, MD—A Wednesday evening house fire in Rosedale has left one man critically injured.

Firefighters responded to the 1300-block of Evering Avenue (21237) at just after 8:15 p.m. on January 8 for a report of a dwelling fire. Upon arrival, crews found fire coming from the home.



During search efforts, crews located an adult male in a bedroom. Firefighters rescued him from the home and EMS provided him medical care. The man was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Firefighters also rescued a dog from the home, and neighbors provided care.

Fire investigators from the Baltimore County Police Department have determined that an electrical malfunction caused the fire.
