BALTIMORE, MD—Baltimore County Public Schools and Harford County Public Schools have announced that they will be closed on Monday as a January snowstorm bears down on Maryland.

Due to impending inclement weather, Baltimore County Public Schools and offices will be closed on January 6, 2025.

Essential employees will report on time for their assigned shift or may request from the appropriate supervisor to use leave time.

Essential as Needed employees will report to work as directed or may request from the appropriate supervisor to use leave time.

HCPS schools and offices will also be closed on January 6, 2025.

Essential personnel should await further instruction.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Baltimore area from 10 p.m. on Sunday until 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
