TOWSON, MD—Baltimore County government will be closed on Monday, January 6 as a January snowstorm bears down on Maryland.

“The safety of our residents and employees is a top priority, and we made the choice to close Baltimore County government tomorrow in an abundance of caution,” said Acting Baltimore County Executive D’Andrea L. However, if you must travel, please exercise caution, stay vigilant, and give road crews the necessary space to carry out their work safely and effectively.”

Emergency and essential employees must report on time.

There will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday, and all drop-off centers will be closed. Additionally, Towson Loop and CountyRide service will not operate and all branches of the Baltimore County Public Library will be closed.

Baltimore County Recreation and Parks facilities will be closed to the public and programs canceled. Senior Centers will also be closed.
