BALTIMORE, MD—For those in the Baltimore area who love snow, “business is about to pick up,” as multiple shots of wintry precipitation are in the forecast.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Friday in the Baltimore area. The advisory will be in effect from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
A band of snow showers is expected to pass through the region on Friday afternoon into the evening hours. Most areas will see an hour or two of snowfall, with some snow squalls expected. Total accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute.
Looking ahead, a more significant snowfall event is expected to occur on Sunday night and into Monday in the Baltimore area. Forecasters say it’s too soon to predict exact totals, but several inches of snowfall seem likely at this point.
