Suspicious items detonated in White Marsh parking lot, charges pending

WHITE MARSH, MD—One suspect is in custody following a Friday morning investigation in White Marsh.

At around 10:45 a.m. on December 27, officers responded to the 5300-block of Campbell Boulevard following reports of a suspicious individual in the Lowe’s parking lot.

Once on scene, officers were alerted to a vehicle containing unknown material.

Members of the Hazardous Devices Team responded and determined the material to be pyrotechnic in nature. As a precaution, team members conducted three controlled detonations on-site.

Authorities say charges are pending as the investigation continues.
