HILLENDALE, MD—Five potential suspects have been detained by police and two weapons have been seized after shots were fired in Hillendale earlier this month.
On December 18, following reports of shots fired in the area of Wycombe Way and Glenbarr Court (21234), officers detained five potential suspects. An investigation resulted in the recovery of two firearms. One of the firearms was a ghost gun, which was loaded with 19 rounds of ammunition in an extended magazine. The other weapon was a stolen firearm equipped with a “Glock switch,” which changes a semi-automatic firearm into one that is fully automatic.
Two people remain held without bail in connection with this case. Kordell Clark, 19, and Louis Nolan, 19, are being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on multiple firearm charges, including possession of a firearm without a serial number. Jamel Jeffries, 18, who was on home detention, also remained in custody due to an outstanding arrest warrant.
As of December 16, 2024, 192 ghost guns had been seized in Baltimore County, compared to 122 ghost guns year to date in 2023. This represents a 57 percent increase in the number of ghost guns recovered by members of the Baltimore County Police Department.
