Fatal Joppa house fire leaves 1 dead

JOPPA, MD—Crews are on the scene of a house fire in the Joppa area.

The fire broke out at just before 7 a.m. on December 25, 2024 in the 200-block of Doncaster Road.

Arriving units found smoke and fire showing from a single family dwelling.



It took over 30 firefighters approximately 30 minutes to control the blaze.

One person has been pronounced dead. A second individual was evaluated but did not require transport.

Five people have been displaced. There has been no word on what caused the fire.
