$1 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Harford County

BEL AIR, MD—Here’s some sunny news for a rainy morning in Maryland.

The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled to $670 million, and a winning $1 million ticket was sold in Harford County for Tuesday night’s drawing.

The $1 million winner was sold at the Wawa store located at 709 Belair Road in Bel Air. The winner has 182 days from the Dec. 10 drawing date to claim the prize.

The next drawing is on Friday the 13th, when the jackpot will have an estimated annuity value of $670 million, with an estimated cash value of $317.8 million. While it’s considered an unlucky date, the Mega Millions jackpot has been won seven times in drawings held on Friday the 13th — most recently on Jan. 13, 2023, when a ticket sold in Maine landed a $1.348 billion jackpot.

The $1 million win in Bel Air on Tuesday night was the second Mega Millions ticket worth $1 million that has been sold in Maryland during the current jackpot roll, which started in September. The other $1 million prize was claimed by an Anne Arundel County resident on a ticket he purchased in October in Brooklyn Park.

The Mega Millions jackpot has been rolling since it was last hit for $810 million on Sept. 10 on a ticket sold in Texas.
