Winning lottery tickets sold in Nottingham, Essex remain unclaimed; Mega Millions soars to $619M

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Two big winning lottery tickets that were sold in and around the Nottingham area remain unclaimed, Maryland Lottery officials announced on Monday.

The latest Powerball jackpot of $256 million was won in Saturday night’s drawing on a ticket sold in Queens, New York.

While the New York Powerball win resulted in the jackpot being reset to $20 million, the Mega Millions jackpot is still rolling, with an estimated annuity value of $619 million (cash value $297.7 million) for the drawing on December 10th.

Across the state, and across all games, the Maryland Lottery paid nearly $32.2 million in prizes during the week of December 2-8, including 42 tickets worth $10,000 or more that were sold or redeemed in that seven-day span.

Lottery officials say a winning $22,707 Racetrax ticket was sold on December 5 at the Rustic Inn, located at 9527 Belair Road in Nottingham/Perry Hall (21236).  That ticket remains unclaimed as of Monday, December 9th.

A winning $31,961 Racetrax ticket was also sold on December 4 at Essex Liquors, located at 904 Eastern Boulevard (21221).  That ticket also remains unclaimed as of December 9th.

Winners of prizes larger than $25,000 must redeem tickets at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore, which is open by appointment only.

Prizes up to $25,000 can be claimed at the cashier window of any of the six casinos in Maryland.
