Library now offering MTA CharmCards at 4 branches

BALTIMORE, MD—The Baltimore County Public Library is now offering 7-day MTA CharmCard passes for purchase at four of its branches.

CharmCards can now be purchased at the Essex, Lansdowne, Randallstown, and Towson branches. BCPL officials say these branches were chosen based on the proximity to bus lines and locations spread throughout Baltimore County.

The CharmCard is a rechargeable smart fare card, which costs $22. It is valid for unlimited travel on CityLink, LocalLink, Light Rail and Metro SubwayLink for seven consecutive days from the time the pass is first activated. Additionally, the card can be used for any regional service in Washington, D.C., Prince George’s and Montgomery counties, or wherever the CharmCard photo is posted.

Customers may use cash, debit or credit card to make the purchase at the service desk of the participating branches.
