PERRY HALL, MD—An overpass in Perry Hall was dedicated to fallen Officer Amy Caprio on Wednesday morning.
In 2018, Officer Amy Caprio of the Baltimore County Police Department tragically lost her life in the line of duty. To honor her courage, dedication, and sacrifice, the Southfield Homeowners Association collaborated with Baltimore County to dedicate the overpass crossing Honeygo Boulevard at Honeygo Run Regional Park in her memory.
Amy’s parents, sister, and niece stood alongside Police Chief Robert McCullough, County Executive Johnny Olszewski, Senator Kathy Klausmeier, and Councilman David Marks.
“This sign stands as a tribute to Amy’s selfless service and her enduring legacy in the community,” said Police Chief McCullough. “It is a promise to remember, to reflect, and to honor Amy’s sacrifice, as well as those made by each of our fallen heroes here in Baltimore County.”
“Today, we recognize Officer Amy Caprio’s service and sacrifice after tragically losing her life in the line of duty in 2018,” said County Executive Olszewski. “I thank our community and Police Department for championing her and this project so we never forget her sacrifice.”
