BALTIMORE, MD—Gusty winds and snow squalls are expected in Baltimore area on Thursday as an Arctic front passes through the region.
A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Baltimore area as westerly winds of 20 to 25 mph are expected with gusts of up to 50 mph. The advisory will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on December 5, 2024,
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
In addition, a line of heavy snow showers could move through the area on Thursday morning, producing slick road conditions, reduced visibility, and gusty winds.
In areas with snow on the ground, the gusty winds may lead to some areas of blowing snow. This would lead to periods of reduced visibility.
This could lead to travel disruptions during the Thursday morning commute.
