DELAWARE—Those who may be traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday should be aware of major delays along Interstate 95 in Delaware.
Delaware Department of Transportation officials report that a dump truck with its bed raised that was traveling southbound on I-95 struck the Route 141 overpass bridge at around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
The collision caused damage to the overpass, which is currently being evaluated by DelDOT engineers.
Southbound I-95 is closed indefinitely at Route 141. I-295 at Route 141 is also closed. Major delays are present on I-95 and in the surrounding areas.
