Man dies in fire pit accident in Bowleys Quarters

BOWLEYS QUARTERS, MD—A 50-year-old Bowleys Quarters man has died after sustaining burn injuries from a fire pit accident on November 16, according to a news release from the Baltimore County Fire Department.

Glen Himmelheber Jr., of the 3600-block of Bay Drive (21220), was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with serious burns following the incident. He succumbed to his injuries on November 19th.



Baltimore County police responded to the scene at just after 9 p.m. on Nov. 16 for a report of an injured person. Upon arrival, officers found Himmelheber Jr. had accidentally fallen into a fire pit in the rear of his residence.
