UPDATE: The fire is now under control. Initial reports indicate that the driver was fleeing from police and fled on foot following the crash.

BEL AIR, MD—Authorities say a home in Bel Air burst into flames on Wednesday night after a vehicle crashed into it.
At just before 8:30 p.m. on November 5, 2024, units responded to the 1700-block of Woodhome Drive, where a van had careened off of the roadway and into a home.
The vehicle struck a gas line and sparked an explosion. Crews arrived to find fire through the roof of the home.
Nearby homes are being evacuated. There has been no word on any injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
