MIDDLE RIVER, MD—The MDOT State Highway Administration will upgrade concrete traffic barriers along US 40 (Pulaski Highway) between Middle River Road and Ebenezer Road in eastern Baltimore County beginning Monday, November 4th.
The $1.5 million traffic safety enhancement project will be complete by early summer 2025, weather permitting.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, contractor and subcontractor crews will work to remove and replace sections of traffic barrier and barrier end treatments along this section of US 40, with temporary through lane and intersection turn-lane closures in effect where needed weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and overnight Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day.
The traffic barrier upgrade work on US 40 is part of the State Highway Administration’s program to improve safety on State highways within Baltimore County. Contractor L. S. Lee, Inc. of York, PA and subcontractor Priority Construction Corp. of Baltimore will perform the work.
