OVERLEA, MD—Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Overlea on Sunday night.

At just after 9 p.m. on October 27, 2024, officers responded to the area of Belair Road and Madeline Avenue (21206) for a reported assault in progress. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives have taken over this investigation. As they investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident, detectives ask anyone with information pertinent to the case to contact 410-307-2020.
