National Prescription Drug Take Back Day to take place on Saturday

BALTIMORE, MD—National Prescription Drug Take Back Day 2024 will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The event is free and anonymous, and it aims to provide residents with a safe and convenient way to dispose of prescription drugs.

This event is hosted by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and takes place every year. DEA and state and local partners set up collection sites across the country, where residents can bring in drugs to be disposed of.

There are usually many sites to choose from, but some of the DEA’s most popular locations include schools, community centers, and pharmacies.

Liquids, syringes, other sharps, and illegal drugs cannot be dropped off at drug take back events. The DEA encourages people to dispose of these items safely and properly.

The Baltimore County Police Department will be participating at each of its precincts.  Additional information can be found in the graphic below and at at www.DEATakeBack.com.
