Road Rage on I-83: Gun pointed at woman, child

BALTIMORE, MD—A Pennsylvania man is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center after allegedly pointing a gun at a woman and her 10-year-old child during a road rage incident on I-83, Maryland State Police said.

Troopers responded to reports of a road rage incident involving a gray Toyota Corolla on I-83 southbound on October 9, 2024.



The driver of the Corolla, later identified as 40-year-old Gary Douglas of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, allegedly pointed a firearm at another motorist.

That’s when investigators began searching for the Corolla. Later that day, they found it on Fort Meade.

With the assistance of the Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division, investigators searched the car with a warrant and found a loaded handgun.

Douglas was arrested without incident and is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. He’s facing charges that include two counts of felony assault, use of a firearm during a felony crime, handgun offenses, and other related charges.

The victim and her child were not injured during the incident.
