Marks pledges swift action to make Perry Hall school a landmark

NOTTINGHAM, MD— The Baltimore County Landmarks Preservation Commission will consider historic status for the former Perry Hall School at its meeting on Thursday, November 14.

Baltimore County Councilman David Marks has written a letter of support, saying that he will act swiftly to add the property to th list of protected landmarks once the Commission forwards the nomination to the Council.

“The former Perry Hall Elementary School, often called the Annex, is one of the most significant structures of our local heritage in northeastern Baltimore County that is not on the inventory,” Councilman Marks noted in his letter.

“Preservation of the structure at 9317 Belair Road would be a fitting way to begin the commemoration of Perry Hall’s 250th birthday in 2025.”

Additional information can be found online here and in the letter below.
