Councilman Marks: Construction advances on new Marshy Point pavilion

MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks on Friday announced that work will soon advance on the new pavilion at Marshy Point Nature Center. The $832,670 contract involves the design and construction of the pavilion; upgrading of electrical service to the canoe shed; and the providing of power, lighting, and water to the pier and animal shelters.

“Marshy Point Nature Center is a gem on the Eastside,” said Councilman Marks. “We are fortunate to not only have this unique park, but also the upcoming new park at the former C.P. Crane plant property a short distance away.”

Dave Oshman, president of the Marshy Point Nature Center Council, added that, “We appreciate the county’s continued support of this beautiful resource.”

Marshy Point Nature Center is located at 7130 Marshy Point Road in Middle River.
