15-year-old arrested in Rodgers Forge shooting, charged as an adult

TOWSON, MD—Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have arrested a 15-year-old suspect in connection with the shooting that occurred on Friday, September 13, in Rodgers Forge.



At just after 11:30 a.m. on 9/13, officers responded to the 400-block of Dunkirk Road (21212) in reference to a reported shooting.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located 50-year-old Mark McKenzie suffering from a gunshot wound. He had reportedly been shot during a robbery while he was working in his garage. McKenzie was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

A GoFundMe page has been established to help his family with medical expenses, as he is expected to need several surgeries. A community walk was also held in his honor.

The 15-year-old suspect has been charged as an adult in this case.
