Rosedale auto parts shop mourns passing of founder

ROSEDALE, MD—An auto parts store in Rosedale is mourning the passing of its founder.

James “Jim” Bunty of JB’s Auto Machine recently passed away, according to a statement on the shop’s official Facebook page.



“It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we must announce the passing of our father, uncle, grandfather, friend and founder, James Bunty,” reads the statement. “Jim (JB) was well known throughout the racing and automotive community for his extensive knowledge and expertise in engine building. He mentored many automotive enthusiasts throughout the years and was highly respected by his colleagues and friends.”

JB’s Auto Machine, which is located at 9701 Philadelphia Road (21237), will be closed on Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4 for funeral services.
