Nottingham correctional officer buys winning $100,000 scratch-off in Rosedale

NOTTINGHAM, MD—A Nottingham man is $100,000 richer after changing his Maryland Lottery routine. Playing mostly Keno every once in a while, he decided to switch things up with a scratch-off and landed a $100,000 top-prize winning $100,000 Ca$h instant ticket.

The Baltimore County resident bought two scratch-offs during a lucky visit to Golden Ring Liquors located at 8651 Philadelphia Road (21237).

While there, he scratched off his games to reveal their entire play area. He found a “win” symbol on the $100,000 Ca$h scratch-off, which gave him a $100,000 top prize.

“Happy” and “blessed” are the adjectives he chose to describe his feelings after his Maryland Lottery win. When he shared the news with his wife of 18 years, he recalls that she was just as pleased and excited. He’s worked as a correctional officer for more than a decade.

The winner said he may use some of his windfall to pay for college courses. He and his wife love vacationing, too, so he may put some of his prize toward a nice vacation.
