ESSEX, MD—Officers with the Baltimore County Police Department have arrested and charged a 16-year-old suspect in connection with an assault that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 2 p.m., on September 18, authorities were notified that a Kenwood High School student had been assaulted off-campus in the 500-block of Stemmers Run Road (21221).

Medics transported the injured juvenile to an area hospital with what appeared to be a non-life threatening puncture wound.

On Wednesday evening, police took a 16-year-old suspect into custody and charged the juvenile as an adult.

Due to the suspect’s age, authorities say they are unable to provide additional information at this time.
