BOWLEYS QUARTERS, MD—A Friday evening garage fire in Bowleys Quarters created a smoke plume that could be seen from miles away.

The fire broke out at around 5:45 p.m. on Seneca Garden Road (21220), according to Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Rescue & Marine.

Units arrived to find a detached garage that was engulfed in flames. Smoke could be seen from across the river in both Essex and Sparrows Point.

Crews from BQVFRM, Middle River, Kingsville, and Baltimore County responded to control the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
